Some already know about this but if you didn't Virgin Media may or may not be blocking file hosting sites such as Rapdishare/Megaupload due to high usage/illegal content
However there are different stories including the normal "technical problems" at virgin media. If this is a temporary problem then the user doesn't need to worry, however if this is a permanent problem then there are a couple of fixes: with all links replace http with https or Code:
1) Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc 2) Find the file called hosts, and open it with something like notepad. 3) Add two new lines as follows: 195.122.131.250 rapidshare.com 195.122.131.250 www.rapidshare.com 4) Save the file. 5) If you get permissions errors (i.e it won't save) you will need to right click the hosts file and go to properties > security tab then ensure you've added your currently logged on user account with full access permissions to the file. You can now save the file again. |
