was from an ed forum thread matty started and one of the admins posted that website, so i stolz it :p

the top pic shows the european net usage and the drop means that either alot of people just stopped using the net (unlikely) or some big networks went down

the bottom pic shows the amount of net lost, the spike just shows that alot of internet flow was lost
