right, me and my mate have aquired some pc parts and are planning to create a css public server. what i would like to know is, is it possible to create a css server in linux/*unix and also for it to automaticaly boot up every thing for me just by pressing the power button??

also how would i do it?

its fairly easy to run a server on linux, however where are you gonna be hosting it ?

to automatically start a css server on startup you just need a bash script (which i can give you :)) in the bootup folder, a bit like windows startup folder in your start menu

cool, i was going just plug it into my netbox, as i get unlimited bandwidth. (i.e. no cut off)

only prob with using ur own net is that you need some v.good upload speeds like 1mbit+ to get around a stable 10 slot server going
