View Full Version : ISP
Hello lads, well im 18 on saturday (wooohoo)
which means i can get my own bt line in my bedroom (£125).
So know im looking at ISP's
My main concern is how they run on steam/css, could you guys do me a favour and tell me what ISP your on, monthly cost and what you think of it/how it performs
Thankyou :D
plus.net is rather good it has uk support aswell and i get upto 8mb for 20 quid
orange uk, £40 p/m , up to 8mbit (which iam getting), unlimeted bandwidth, plus i beleve they wont do fuck all if your downloading loads of shit :D (but i dont pay for it, it could be cheepre then that now)
Bt maximum package however much that costs :S 8mb i get like 3 its shit dont go with it :)
BT is also good, always check what speed you can get first.
after spending 6 hours of my works valuable time,
reading loads of reviews etc, the maximum i can get from any provider is only 5meg so im not going to bother paying for 16mb, smart eh?
never found a bad review for 02: Standard (8mb) Unlimited Usage. 7.50 a month! (as im an 02 mobile user) or 12.50a month if i wasn't.
plus.net was my second choice as gaming has priority on there lines, but 15gb usage limit for 15 quid a month and speeds 8mb. Nahhh..oh well , i think i have a winner:P , although 125 quid for a line :O , thats 2 i-series tickets! ...
oh well :P
i'm with virginmedia (20mbit) never had problems until this week, but i'm getting a new modem so hopefully all gd :)
plus its getting upgraded to 50mbit soon :D

Remeber the days on which you couldnt actually connect to the internet for like 6 hours, same with kickass, everybody with Virgin actually timed out of everything (mid game) and we had to cancle.
SEE YOUR A LIAR. mwahaha
oh yea i kinda forgot about that :P
02 goes live 5th september woohoo

Be there for win imo 18 pound a month 24 meg and i get 15meg never had a problem with these
if viriginmedia don't sort it out, i'm gonna switch to them
i read some bad reviews about be, although i was considering them, but i can only get 3 meg where i live anyway
bethere is great if you can get em
